About
Iotim B Eye Drops from FDC Limited combine two pressure-lowering medicines, Timolol and Brimonidine, in a single bottle. It is prescribed when one medicine alone is not enough to control eye pressure.
Uses
- Open-angle glaucoma
- Raised intraocular pressure not controlled by one drug
- Long-term eye pressure management
How it works
Timolol is a beta-blocker that reduces fluid production inside the eye. Brimonidine is an alpha agonist that both reduces fluid production and improves its drainage. Together they lower eye pressure more effectively.
How to take
Use as prescribed by your doctor. Wash hands, tilt your head back and instill the drop into the pocket formed by gently pulling the lower lid. Wait at least 5 minutes between different eye drops.
Side effects
- Burning, stinging or itching in the eye
- Red eyes
- Dry mouth
- Blurred vision, tiredness
Precautions
Share your full history of asthma, heart disease, low blood pressure or depression with the doctor. Press the inner eye corner after each drop. Do not use with soft contact lenses; wait 15 minutes before re-inserting.
Storage
Store below 25°C, away from direct light. Once opened, use within 4 weeks. Keep tightly closed and out of children's reach.
