Product information
About
Dorzonol Eye Drops from Knoll Healthcare combine Dorzolamide and Timolol. They are prescribed for raised pressure inside the eye, often seen in glaucoma.
Uses
- Open-angle glaucoma
- Raised eye pressure (ocular hypertension)
- When a single eye-pressure drop is not enough
How it works
Dorzolamide reduces the production of fluid inside the eye by blocking an enzyme called carbonic anhydrase. Timolol is a beta blocker that further lowers fluid formation. Together they bring eye pressure down more effectively.
How to take
Use as prescribed by your doctor. Wash hands, tilt the head back, gently pull down the lower lid and put a drop into the eye. Close the eye for a minute and press the inner corner to limit absorption.
Side effects
- Stinging or burning on use
- Bitter taste
- Blurred vision for a few minutes
- Watery or itchy eyes
- Dry eyes
Precautions
Not suitable in asthma, severe COPD, slow heart rate, or certain heart conditions. Remove contact lenses before use and wait 15 minutes before putting them back. Tell your doctor about all your medicines.
Storage
Keep below 25°C, protected from light. Discard 1 month after opening. Keep out of reach of children.
