Wallrex-DX Syrup from Wallace Pharmaceuticals is a cough syrup that combines an antihistamine (Chlorpheniramine) with a cough suppressant (Dextromethorphan). It is used to give relief from dry, irritating cough along with related allergy-like symptoms.

• Dry, hacking cough
• Cough with throat irritation
• Cough linked to cold or allergy
• Runny nose and sneezing with cough

Dextromethorphan acts on the cough centre in the brain and reduces the urge to cough. Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine that calms allergy chemicals in the body and dries up a runny nose, which also helps settle the cough.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Shake the bottle well before each use and measure the dose with the cup or spoon provided. Avoid driving or operating machines as it can make you drowsy.

• Mild dizziness
• Nausea or constipation

Do not take with alcohol or other sleep-inducing medicines. Use with care in older adults, people with asthma, glaucoma, prostate problems, or liver disease. Not advised in very young children unless the doctor specifically prescribes it.
