About
Diapride 2 by Micro Labs is a fixed-dose combination tablet containing Glimepiride and Metformin. It is commonly prescribed for type 2 diabetes when blood sugar is not well controlled by one medicine alone.
Uses

How it works
Glimepiride belongs to the sulfonylurea group and helps the pancreas release more insulin. Metformin is a biguanide that reduces sugar production by the liver and improves how the body responds to insulin. Together they work on two different pathways to lower blood glucose.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually with a meal to lower the chance of stomach upset. Swallow the tablet whole with water and avoid skipping meals.
Side effects
- Low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia)
- Nausea, loose motions or metallic taste
- Mild weight changes or stomach discomfort
Precautions
Let your doctor know if you have kidney, liver or heart issues, or if you drink alcohol regularly. Carry a sugar source in case of a low-sugar episode. Not generally recommended in pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised.
Storage
Store below 25 degree celsius in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
