Mesacol 1 g Suppositories from Sun Pharma contain Mesalamine, also called 5-aminosalicylic acid. The medicine is delivered directly to the lower bowel through a rectal suppository.

• Used in mild to moderate ulcerative colitis affecting the rectum
• Helps manage inflammation in the lower bowel
• May be used to maintain remission as prescribed

Mesalamine acts directly on the lining of the bowel to reduce inflammation. It is an aminosalicylate, a class of medicines used for inflammatory bowel disease.

Use as prescribed by your doctor. Insert the suppository into the rectum, ideally after a bowel movement, and try to lie still for a few minutes so it stays in place.
