Nexovas T 10 tab

Nexovas T from Macleods is a fixed-dose combination of cilnidipine, a calcium channel blocker, and telmisartan, an angiotensin receptor blocker. It is used when blood pressure needs more than one medicine to stay in target range.

• Treating high blood pressure not controlled by a single drug
• Reducing the long-term risk of stroke and heart events linked to hypertension

Cilnidipine relaxes the muscle in your blood vessel walls so they widen, while telmisartan blocks a hormone that normally narrows vessels and holds onto salt and water. The two actions together drop pressure more smoothly than either alone.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food, at roughly the same time each day. Do not stop suddenly even if you feel well, because blood pressure can rebound.

• Dizziness or light-headedness
• Ankle swelling
• Headache
• Tiredness or back pain

Tell your doctor about kidney problems, dehydration, or any plan for pregnancy, as telmisartan must be avoided in pregnancy. Get blood pressure and kidney tests done as advised.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius, away from moisture and direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
