About

Nupenta 40 from Macleods is an acidity tablet containing Pantoprazole. It belongs to the proton pump inhibitor (PPI) group and is often prescribed for acidity, reflux and stomach ulcers.

How it works

Pantoprazole blocks the tiny acid pumps in the stomach lining that release acid. With less acid, the stomach and food pipe get time to heal, and symptoms like burning, sour belching and pain ease.

How to take

Take as prescribed by your doctor, preferably half an hour before a meal in the morning. Swallow the tablet whole with water, do not crush or chew.

Precautions

Tell your doctor if you have liver disease, low magnesium, osteoporosis, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. Long-term use may need vitamin B12 and bone-health checks.
