About
Emeset Injection from Cipla is a 2 ml vial of ondansetron, a serotonin (5-HT3) receptor blocker used in hospitals and clinics to control nausea and vomiting.
Uses
- Prevents and treats nausea and vomiting from chemotherapy

How it works
It blocks 5-HT3 receptors in the gut and the part of the brain that triggers vomiting. By calming these signals, it stops the urge to vomit.
How to take
This injection is given by a doctor or nurse, into a vein or muscle, as prescribed by your doctor. It is not for self-use at home.

Precautions
Tell your doctor about heart rhythm problems, liver disease, low potassium or magnesium, or any allergy. Mention all other medicines you take, as some can interact and affect heart rhythm.
