How it works
Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker that relaxes blood vessels. Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic that helps the kidneys flush out extra salt and water. The two together bring blood pressure down more effectively.
How to take
Swallow one tablet daily with water, preferably in the morning, as prescribed by your doctor.
Side effects
- Dizziness or lightheadedness
- Increased urination, especially early on
- Muscle cramps, tiredness, or low potassium
Precautions
