Product information
About
Zoryl MP1 is an Intas combination tablet for type 2 diabetes that brings together three oral antidiabetic medicines: glimepiride (a sulfonylurea), metformin (a biguanide), and pioglitazone (a thiazolidinedione). It is prescribed when a single agent is not enough to keep blood sugar in range.
Uses
- Type 2 diabetes when sugar stays high on dual therapy
- Improving fasting and after-meal glucose control
- Reducing insulin resistance alongside insulin release
How it works
Glimepiride nudges the pancreas to release more insulin, metformin lowers the amount of glucose your liver pushes into the blood and helps muscles use it better, and pioglitazone makes the body's tissues more responsive to the insulin you already have. Working together, they bring sugar down through three different paths.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually with a meal to settle the stomach. Keep regular meals and do not skip food after a dose so your sugar does not dip too low.
Side effects
- Low blood sugar, especially with missed meals
- Nausea, loose stools, or metallic taste
- Mild weight gain or fluid retention
- Vitamin B12 drop on long use
Precautions
Tell your doctor about kidney, liver, heart, or bladder problems before starting. Avoid heavy alcohol, and check for warning signs of low sugar such as sweating, shakiness, or sudden hunger.
Storage
Store below 25 degrees Celsius in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
