About
Arbitel AM is a Micro Labs tablet combining telmisartan 40mg and amlodipine 5mg. It is used to control high blood pressure, especially when one medicine is not enough. Keeping pressure down helps lower the risk of heart attack and stroke.

How it works
Telmisartan blocks a hormone (angiotensin II) that tightens blood vessels, while amlodipine relaxes the vessel walls directly. Together they widen the vessels so blood flows more easily and pressure falls.
How to take
Take exactly as your doctor prescribes, with or without food, at the same time each day. Swallow whole with water and do not stop without checking with your doctor.
Side effects
- Ankle or foot swelling
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Tiredness; rise slowly to avoid feeling faint
Precautions
Available only with a valid prescription. Not for use in pregnancy or breastfeeding. May cause dizziness, so take care when driving. Tell your doctor about kidney or liver problems.
