Redotil sachet

Redotil sachet from Dr. Reddy's contains Racecadotril in a powder form that mixes with water. It is commonly used for sudden watery diarrhoea, especially in children.

Racecadotril blocks the enkephalinase enzyme in the intestine. This cuts down the extra fluid and salts that the gut pushes out during diarrhoea, helping stools become less watery while normal bowel movement continues.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Empty the sachet into a little water, milk or food and mix well, then take right away. Keep giving ORS as advised to make up for lost fluids.

• Mild headache
• Nausea
• Rash or itching
• Drowsiness in some people

Tell the doctor about kidney or liver issues, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and any past serious skin reactions. Avoid use for long-term diarrhoea or if there is blood in stools without medical advice.

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from sunlight and moisture. Keep sachets sealed and out of reach of children.
