Naprowel Plus

Naprowel Plus from Leeford pairs naproxen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), with domperidone, an anti-nausea medicine. It eases pain and inflammation while reducing the nausea and stomach upset that can occur with NSAIDs.

Naproxen reduces prostaglandins by blocking COX enzymes, easing pain, fever and inflammation. Domperidone blocks dopamine receptors in the gut and vomiting centre, helping the stomach empty and calming nausea.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, swallowed whole with a full glass of water, ideally with or after food. Avoid lying flat right after the dose.

• Stomach ulcers or bleeding with long use

Tell your doctor if you have ulcers, asthma, kidney, liver or heart disease, or a heart-rhythm problem. Avoid in late pregnancy. Do not combine with other NSAIDs or medicines that affect heart rhythm without advice. Limit alcohol and use the lowest dose for the shortest time.

Store below 25°C in the original strip, protected from heat and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
