Naprowel Forte

Naprowel Forte from Leeford combines naproxen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), with domperidone, an anti-nausea medicine. It manages strong pain and migraine while reducing the nausea and stomach upset that often come with them.

• Severe arthritis or gout pain
• Period pain with nausea
• Back, muscle and dental pain
• Pain after minor injury

Naproxen blocks COX enzymes that produce prostaglandins, easing pain and inflammation. Domperidone blocks dopamine receptors in the upper gut and the brain's vomiting centre, speeding stomach emptying and calming nausea, which also helps the painkiller work better.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, swallowed whole with a full glass of water, ideally with or after food. Do not lie flat immediately after the dose.

• Headache or dizziness
• Stomach ulcers or bleeding with long use

Tell your doctor if you have ulcers, asthma, kidney, liver or heart disease, or a heart-rhythm problem. Avoid in late pregnancy. Do not combine with other NSAIDs or medicines that affect heart rhythm without medical advice. Limit alcohol and use the lowest dose for the shortest time.

Store below 25°C in the original strip, protected from heat and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
