About
Cresar 80 Tablet from Cipla contains Telmisartan in a higher strength. It belongs to the angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) group and is used for high blood pressure and long-term heart and kidney protection.
Uses
- High blood pressure not controlled by lower doses
- Heart and kidney protection in at-risk adults
- Prevention of heart attack and stroke in selected patients
How it works
Telmisartan blocks angiotensin II, the chemical that tightens blood vessels. With this action blocked, the vessels stay relaxed, the pressure inside drops, and the heart works under less strain.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, once daily at the same time, with or without food. Swallow with a glass of water. Do not stop on your own even if you feel well.

Precautions
Avoid in pregnancy. Inform the doctor about kidney or liver disease, low blood pressure, dehydration or use of diuretics. Get up slowly to avoid dizziness and have blood pressure and kidney tests done as advised.
