Sitacip 100 from Cipla contains sitagliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor used alongside diet and exercise to help adults manage type 2 diabetes.

Sitagliptin blocks the DPP-4 enzyme, which lets natural gut hormones (incretins) stay active longer. This helps the body release more insulin after meals and reduces excess sugar production by the liver.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food. Try to take it at the same time each day for steady control.

• Rarely: pancreatitis, joint pain, or skin rash — contact your doctor

Share any history of kidney problems, pancreatitis, or heart issues with your doctor. Watch for low-sugar episodes if combined with other diabetes medicines, and don't skip meals.
