Macsita 100

Macsita 100 from Macleods is an oral antidiabetic tablet containing Sitagliptin. It is prescribed for adults with type 2 diabetes to help control blood sugar.

Sitagliptin belongs to a class called DPP-4 inhibitors. It blocks an enzyme that breaks down gut hormones called incretins. With more incretins around, the pancreas releases insulin when sugar is high and the liver makes less sugar, keeping blood sugar steady.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. The tablet can be taken with or without food, at the same time each day. Continue your diabetic diet and physical activity along with the medicine.

Tell the doctor about any kidney problems, pancreatitis in the past, or gallstones. Inform about all other medicines you take. Watch for signs of low blood sugar if combined with other diabetes drugs.
