Prazopill XL 2.5 30 tab

Prazopill XL 2.5 from Intas is an extended-release tablet of prazosin, an alpha-1 blocker. It is mainly used for high blood pressure and to ease urinary symptoms linked to an enlarged prostate, with the XL form releasing the medicine gradually through the day.

• High blood pressure
• Urinary symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia
• Support in some cases of post-traumatic nightmares

Prazosin blocks alpha-1 receptors on blood vessel walls and on the muscle of the bladder neck and prostate. This relaxes vessels so blood flows more easily and eases the muscle squeeze that hinders urine flow.

Swallow the tablet whole with water at the same time each day, as prescribed by your doctor. Do not crush or chew it, and rise slowly from sitting or lying to limit dizziness, especially after the first few doses.

• Dizziness or light-headedness, especially on standing
• Headache, drowsiness, weakness
• Stuffy nose or palpitations
• Rarely, fainting after the first dose

Share any history of low blood pressure, heart problems, kidney or liver disease, or planned cataract surgery. Be careful when driving or doing tasks that need alertness, particularly when starting or changing the dose.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius in the original strip, away from heat, light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
