Dutanol-0.5

Dutanol-0.5 from Knoll contains Dutasteride, a medicine used in men with an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia). It belongs to the 5-alpha reductase inhibitor group.

Dutasteride blocks the enzyme that converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT), the hormone that drives prostate growth. Lower DHT levels gradually shrink the prostate and ease urinary symptoms.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the capsule whole with water; do not chew or open it. It may take several months to feel the full benefit.

• Breast tenderness or swelling
• Dizziness

Not for use in women or children. Pregnant women must not handle leaking capsules as it may harm a male foetus. Do not donate blood while on therapy and for 6 months after stopping. Inform your doctor about liver problems.
