About
Alfusin Tab from Cipla contains Alfuzosin 10 mg, a prolonged-release alpha-blocker used in men for an enlarged prostate gland (BPH).
Uses
- Symptoms of enlarged prostate (BPH)
- Difficulty starting urination
- Weak or interrupted urine stream
- Frequent urination, especially at night
- Feeling of incomplete bladder emptying
How it works
It relaxes the muscle fibres in the prostate gland and the bladder neck. Once these muscles loosen, the urinary passage opens up and urine flows out more easily, also reducing the urgency to go.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow whole with water after a meal — do not crush, chew or break.

- Dizziness, especially when standing up
- Headache
- Tiredness
- Mild stomach upset
- Blocked or runny nose
Precautions
Tell your doctor about heart, liver, or kidney problems and any history of low blood pressure. Stand up slowly to avoid dizziness. Avoid heavy alcohol. Inform your eye surgeon before cataract surgery. Not for women or children.
