Mebiz SR 10 cap

Mebiz SR contains mebeverine 200 mg in a sustained-release capsule from Sun Pharma. It is an antispasmodic used to ease cramps in the gut, often in irritable bowel syndrome.

• Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)

• Bloating linked to gut spasm
• Painful bowel movements

Mebeverine relaxes the smooth muscle in the wall of the intestine without affecting normal gut movement. This eases painful spasm while letting digestion continue as usual.

Swallow the capsule whole with water, as prescribed by your doctor, usually a little before a meal. Do not crush or chew the SR capsule.

• Mild headache
• Dizziness
• Skin rash or itching
• Heartburn

Tell your doctor about pregnancy, breastfeeding or any allergy to mebeverine. Avoid this medicine if you have paralytic ileus (a known bowel blockage).

Store below 25 degrees Celsius in a dry place. Keep capsules in the original strip and out of reach of children.
