Simcon from Inde Chemie contains simethicone, an anti-foaming agent that helps relieve trapped gas in the stomach and intestines. It is used for bloating and gassy discomfort.

• Bloating and gas after meals
• Wind pain or fullness in the belly
• Gas-related discomfort in irritable bowel

Simethicone breaks down larger gas bubbles in the gut into smaller ones, making it easier for trapped air to pass naturally, which eases pressure and discomfort.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually after meals and at bedtime. The tablets are not absorbed into the blood and act inside the gut.

• Generally very well tolerated
• Mild loose stools in some people
• Rare allergic reaction

If bloating is severe, persistent or comes with weight loss, fever or blood in stool, see your doctor for further checks rather than continuing self-care.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius in a dry place. Keep the strip in its carton and out of reach of children.
