Mesacol 800 15 tab

Mesacol 800 from Sun Pharma is a higher-strength tablet containing Mesalamine 800 mg. It belongs to the aminosalicylate class and is used to manage inflammatory bowel disease.

• Used in mild to moderate ulcerative colitis
• Helps reduce flare-ups and maintain remission
• May be prescribed in select cases of Crohn's disease

Mesalamine, also called 5-aminosalicylic acid, works directly on the bowel lining to bring down inflammation. The delayed-release tablet helps the medicine reach the affected part of the bowel.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water, and do not break, crush or chew it.

• Abdominal discomfort or loose stools
• Skin rash in some users

Inform your doctor of any kidney issues, aspirin or salicylate allergy, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Long-term use may require periodic monitoring.
