Mesacol 15 tab

Mesacol 400 mg tablets from Sun Pharma contain Mesalamine, an aminosalicylate medicine used to manage inflammatory bowel disease. The tablet is designed to release the active drug along the inflamed parts of the bowel.

• Used in mild to moderate ulcerative colitis
• Helps maintain remission of bowel inflammation
• Sometimes used in Crohn's disease as advised

Mesalamine, also known as 5-aminosalicylic acid, acts locally on the bowel lining to lower inflammation. It belongs to the aminosalicylate class of anti-inflammatory drugs.

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablets whole with water without crushing or chewing, so the coating reaches the bowel intact.

• Stomach discomfort, gas or loose stools
• Skin rash in some people

Let your doctor know if you have kidney or liver issues, salicylate or aspirin allergy, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. Regular check-ups may be needed during long-term use.
