Telvilite 80 AM 10 Tab

Telvilite 80 AM from Leeford is a fixed-dose blood pressure tablet that combines Telmisartan, an angiotensin-receptor blocker, with Amlodipine, a calcium-channel blocker. It is widely prescribed when one medicine is not enough to control hypertension.

• BP control in patients with mild chest pain (angina)

Telmisartan relaxes blood vessels by blocking angiotensin II, the hormone that tightens them. Amlodipine widens the arteries by stopping calcium from entering the muscle of the vessel wall. The two routes together bring BP down smoothly.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually with water at the same time each day. Do not stop on your own, as BP may rise again.

• Mild swelling of feet or ankles
• Headache or flushing
• Dizziness, especially at first
• Tiredness
• Slight stomach upset

Not recommended in pregnancy. Inform the doctor about liver or kidney problems, severe heart failure, or aortic narrowing. Rise slowly from sitting or lying down in the first few days.
