About

Systane Ultra from Alcon is a popular lubricant eye drop for dry, tired eyes. It gives a long-lasting soothing film without making vision blurry.

Uses

  • Dry, gritty or burning eyes
  • Eye strain from screens and AC
  • Discomfort from contact lens wear
  • Mild irritation from dust or wind

How it works

Polyethylene glycol and propylene glycol form a smooth protective layer on the eye surface, holding in moisture and easing friction with each blink.

How to take

Put 1-2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed, or as your doctor advises. Wait 10 minutes between different eye drops. Safe for use with contact lenses.

Side effects

  • Brief stinging on application
  • Mild blurred vision for a few seconds
  • Watery eyes for a moment

Precautions

Do not let the tip touch your eye or any surface to avoid contamination. Stop and see a doctor if pain, redness or vision changes occur.

Storage
