Lactihep Plus Syrup from Sun Pharma blends lactulose, a non-absorbed sugar that acts as an osmotic laxative, with sodium picosulfate, a stimulant laxative that wakes up a sluggish bowel. It is used when plain stool softeners are not enough and a stronger push is needed.

Lactulose holds water inside the colon so the stool stays soft and easier to pass. Sodium picosulfate is activated by gut bacteria and gently stimulates the muscles of the large bowel to contract and move the contents along.

Measure the syrup with the cap provided and take as prescribed by your doctor, usually at bedtime so it works by morning. Drink water through the day to help it work.

Do not use in suspected bowel obstruction, severe dehydration, or acute abdominal pain of unknown cause. Long-term use can upset salts in the blood, so follow the prescribed course and tell your doctor about kidney problems or pregnancy.
