About

Sucrafil Syrup from Fourrts is a prescription oral suspension containing Sucralfate. It is used to help heal ulcers in the stomach and upper intestine by forming a protective coating over the affected area.

How it works

When taken on an empty stomach, Sucralfate reacts with acid to form a sticky paste that binds to the raw ulcer surface. This layer protects the ulcer from further damage by acid, pepsin and bile, giving the tissue time to heal.

How to take

Take as prescribed by your doctor. Shake the bottle well before each dose. Usually given on an empty stomach, about one hour before meals and at bedtime.

Precautions

Tell your doctor about kidney problems, diabetes or pregnancy. Do not take other tablets within 2 hours of this dose. Avoid antacids close to this medicine as they can reduce its effect.
