About

Famocid 40 from Sun Pharma is a higher-strength tablet containing Famotidine, an H2 blocker. It is used for stronger control of stomach acid in acidity, ulcers and reflux disease.

Uses

  • Stomach and duodenal ulcers
  • Severe acidity and heartburn
  • Acid reflux (GERD)
  • Conditions with very high stomach acid

How it works

Famotidine blocks H2 receptors in the stomach lining, lowering the production of acid. This eases burning, pain and bloating, and helps ulcers heal.

How to take

Take as prescribed by your doctor, with water. It can be taken with or without food. Avoid alcohol, smoking and spicy or oily food that triggers acidity.

Precautions
