Nexpro-40 from Torrent contains esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor used to reduce stomach acid. It is prescribed for reflux, ulcers, and acid-related discomfort that needs strong, steady control.

• Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease
• Healing and prevention of peptic ulcers
• H. pylori eradication when combined with antibiotics
• Zollinger-Ellison syndrome

Esomeprazole blocks the final step of acid production in the stomach by switching off the proton pumps in the stomach lining. This lowers acid for many hours and gives the lining time to heal.

Swallow whole with water as prescribed by your doctor, ideally before a meal. Do not chew or crush the tablet.

Long-term use can affect magnesium and vitamin B12 levels, so follow up as advised. Tell your doctor about liver disease, osteoporosis risk, or any allergy to PPIs.
