Product information
About
Napra-D 500 from Intas combines naproxen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), with domperidone, an anti-nausea medicine. It treats pain and inflammation while helping reduce the stomach upset that can come with NSAIDs.
Uses
- Migraine and severe headache
- Joint pain in arthritis and gout flares
- Muscle, back and dental pain
- Period pain and pain after minor injury
How it works
Naproxen blocks COX enzymes that make prostaglandins, the chemicals behind pain, fever and inflammation. Domperidone blocks dopamine receptors in the upper gut and the brain's vomiting centre, speeding stomach emptying and easing nausea that often accompanies pain or migraine.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, swallowed whole with a full glass of water, ideally with or after food to protect the stomach. Do not lie down right after the dose.
Side effects
- Stomach pain, heartburn or nausea
- Loose stools or constipation
- Headache, dizziness or drowsiness
- Dry mouth
- Risk of ulcers or bleeding with long use
Precautions
Tell your doctor if you have stomach ulcers, asthma, heart, kidney or liver disease, or a heart-rhythm problem. Avoid in late pregnancy. Do not combine with other NSAIDs or with medicines that affect heart rhythm without medical advice. Limit alcohol and use the lowest dose for the shortest time.
Storage
Store below 25°C in the original strip, protected from heat and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
