About

Esomez 20 from Knoll contains esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces stomach acid for conditions like acid reflux and ulcers.

Uses

  • Acid reflux and GERD
  • Heartburn and acidity
  • Stomach or duodenal ulcers
  • Part of H. pylori treatment

How it works

Esomeprazole blocks the tiny acid pumps in the stomach lining. With less acid being made, the burning and irritation ease and damaged tissues get a chance to heal.

How to take

Swallow whole with water, usually 30 to 60 minutes before a meal, as prescribed by your doctor. Do not crush or chew. Keep to the course your doctor sets, even if symptoms settle quickly.

  • Stomach pain
  • Dry mouth

Precautions

Tell your doctor about liver problems, low magnesium, osteoporosis or long-term medicines like blood thinners. Long-term PPI use should be reviewed. Not for routine use in pregnancy without advice.
