Colospa from Abbott is a prescription antispasmodic tablet used in irritable bowel syndrome and similar gut conditions. It works directly on the gut muscles without slowing other body actions.

• Irritable bowel syndrome
• Stomach cramps and spasms
• Bloating with gut pain
• Painful bowel movements

Mebeverine relaxes the smooth muscles of the intestine. This eases painful spasms while letting normal gut movement continue, so digestion stays on track.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually with water about 20 minutes before meals. Swallow the tablet whole; do not chew. Complete the full course advised.

• Mild headache
• Dizziness
• Nausea
• Skin rash rarely
• Constipation sometimes

Not for paralytic ileus or known allergy to mebeverine. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have liver problems. Avoid alcohol while on treatment.

Store below 25 degrees C, in a dry place away from sunlight. Keep in the original strip and out of children's reach.
