About
Amlovas AT from Macleods combines amlodipine (calcium channel blocker) with atenolol (beta-blocker) for stronger blood pressure and angina control.
Uses
- Hypertension requiring combination therapy

How it works
Amlodipine widens blood vessels by blocking calcium channels, while atenolol slows the heart and reduces its workload. Together they bring down blood pressure and ease angina.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily at a fixed time. Do not stop suddenly.

- Tiredness
- Ankle swelling
- Slow heart rate
Precautions
Not for use in asthma, very slow heart rate, or certain heart blocks. Tell your doctor about diabetes or thyroid problems. Avoid abrupt withdrawal.
