How it works
Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker. It stops a body hormone from latching onto blood-vessel walls, so the vessels stay relaxed and open, allowing blood to flow with less resistance.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day with a glass of water. You can take it with or without food. Try to keep the same time each day.
Side effects
- Mild dizziness, especially at first
- Back pain or sinus symptoms
- Occasional tiredness or headache
Precautions
