Forxiga 10

Forxiga 10 from AstraZeneca contains dapagliflozin, a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor. It is taken once a day by people with type 2 diabetes and is also used to support the heart and kidneys in specific conditions.

Dapagliflozin gently nudges the kidneys to remove extra sugar from your body through urine instead of letting it build up in the blood. This lowers blood sugar and also takes a small load off the heart and kidneys.

Swallow one tablet with water at the same time each day, with or without food, as prescribed by your doctor. Drink water through the day to stay well hydrated.

• Genital or urinary tract infections
• Increased need to pass urine
• Dizziness on standing
• Thirst

Tell your doctor about any kidney disease, frequent urinary infections, low blood pressure, or a history of diabetic ketoacidosis. Pause the medicine before major surgery or if you become acutely unwell, on medical advice.

Keep at room temperature in the original blister, away from heat and direct moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
