About

Pioz 30 from USV is a higher-strength pioglitazone tablet for adults with type 2 diabetes. It is generally prescribed when a lower dose is not enough to bring blood sugar to target.

Uses

  • Type 2 diabetes mellitus
  • Helps lower raised blood sugar
  • Used along with other antidiabetic medicines or insulin

How it works

Pioglitazone is a thiazolidinedione. It helps the body's tissues respond better to its own insulin, improving glucose uptake from the blood and supporting steadier long-term sugar control.

How to take

Swallow the tablet with water as prescribed by your doctor. It may be taken with or without food, ideally at the same time each day.

  • Sinus or throat infection
  • Low blood sugar when used with other diabetes drugs

Precautions

Avoid in heart failure, active liver disease or bladder cancer. Tell your doctor about pregnancy, breastfeeding or any fracture history. Regular check-ups for liver, heart and blood sugar are advised.
