Tribet 2 from Abbott is a fixed-dose combination tablet containing glimepiride, metformin, and pioglitazone, prescribed to help manage type 2 diabetes when single medicines are not enough.

• Type 2 diabetes mellitus, especially when better blood sugar control is needed than with one or two medicines alone

Glimepiride encourages the pancreas to release more insulin, metformin lowers sugar production by the liver and improves how the body uses insulin, and pioglitazone helps muscle and fat tissue respond better to insulin.

Swallow whole with water along with a meal, as prescribed by your doctor. Keep your dosing time consistent each day.

• Low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia)
• Stomach upset or nausea
• Diarrhoea or metallic taste
• Weight gain or mild swelling
• Headache or dizziness

Avoid in severe kidney, liver, or heart failure, and in certain bladder conditions. Learn to recognise low blood sugar symptoms and keep a sugar source handy. Tell your doctor about pregnancy, breastfeeding, alcohol use, and any other medicines, especially other diabetes drugs.

Store below 30 degrees Celsius in a dry place, away from light. Keep out of reach of children.
