About
Telmikind Trio 12.5 from Mankind Pharma brings three blood-pressure medicines together: telmisartan, amlodipine and chlorthalidone. It is used when BP needs combined support from different angles.
Uses
- Manages high blood pressure not controlled by one or two medicines
- Helps protect the heart and kidneys over time
How it works
Telmisartan blocks a hormone that narrows vessels, amlodipine eases calcium flow so vessel walls widen, and chlorthalidone is a long-acting water pill that clears extra salt and fluid. Together they bring down the pressure inside your arteries.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, ideally in the morning with water. It can be taken with or without food. Take it at the same time each day.
Side effects
- Dizziness or light-headedness
- Ankle swelling, flushing
- Increased urination, headache or tiredness
Precautions
Share any history of kidney issues, gout, diabetes, low electrolytes or low BP, or pregnancy or breastfeeding plans. Get up slowly. Keep regular BP and blood-test reviews.
