About
Telista CL from Lupin combines telmisartan (an ARB) with cilnidipine (a calcium channel blocker that also calms the sympathetic nerves) for smooth blood pressure control with fewer ankle-swelling episodes.
Uses

- BP control with a gentler side-effect profile on the legs
How it works
Telmisartan blocks angiotensin II so vessels stay relaxed. Cilnidipine eases calcium entry into both blood vessels and certain nerve endings, lowering pressure and helping reduce the swelling sometimes seen with older calcium blockers.
How to take
Take one tablet as prescribed by your doctor, at the same time daily, with or without food.
Side effects
- Mild dizziness or flushing
- Headache, especially early on
- Less commonly, leg swelling
Precautions
Avoid in pregnancy. Share liver, kidney, or heart history with your doctor. Get up slowly to avoid light-headedness.
