About
Losar 50 from Torrent Pharmaceuticals contains losartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker. It is used mainly to manage high blood pressure. Prescription only.
Uses

How it works
Losartan blocks the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that constricts blood vessels. With it blocked, vessels relax and blood pressure falls.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food, at about the same time daily. Swallow whole with water. Do not stop without medical advice.
Side effects
- Dizziness, especially when standing
- Tiredness or headache
- Raised potassium levels
Precautions
Tell your doctor about pregnancy plans, breastfeeding, or kidney and liver disease. Avoid potassium supplements unless advised. Limit alcohol.
Storage
Store below 25C in a dry place, in the original strip. Keep out of reach of children.
