About
Losanol 50 contains losartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker. It is used to manage high blood pressure and, in some patients, to protect the heart and kidneys. Prescription only.

How it works
Losartan blocks angiotensin II from tightening blood vessels. As vessels relax, blood flows more easily and blood pressure comes down.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food, at about the same time each day. Swallow whole with water. Continue even if you feel well; do not stop on your own.
Side effects
- Dizziness, especially on standing
- Tiredness or headache
- Raised potassium levels
Precautions
Tell your doctor about pregnancy plans, breastfeeding, or kidney and liver disease. Avoid potassium supplements and salt substitutes unless advised. Limit alcohol.
Storage
Store below 25C in a dry place, in the original strip. Keep out of reach of children.
