About
Met XL AMT from Ajanta is a triple-combination tablet for blood pressure that brings together Metoprolol, Amlodipine and Telmisartan. Doctors usually prescribe it when blood pressure is not well controlled by one or two medicines.
Uses
- High blood pressure not controlled by single therapy
- Long-term heart and kidney protection in hypertensive patients
How it works
Metoprolol slows the heart and reduces its workload. Amlodipine relaxes the small arteries so blood flows more easily. Telmisartan blocks a hormone called angiotensin II that normally tightens blood vessels. The three actions together lower blood pressure from different angles.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, swallowed whole with water at a fixed time daily. Do not skip doses; if you forget one, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for the next.

Precautions
