About
Metapro XL 25 from Micro is a low-strength extended-release tablet of Metoprolol Succinate. The XL form releases the medicine slowly so one tablet keeps the heart and BP steady for the whole day.

How it works
Metoprolol Succinate is a selective beta-1 blocker. It blocks adrenaline's effect on the heart, slowing the pulse and easing the force of each beat. This reduces BP and the work the heart has to do.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, swallowed whole with water at the same time each day. Do not crush or chew. Never stop suddenly.

Precautions
Tell the doctor about asthma, heart block, very slow pulse, low BP, diabetes or thyroid disease. Stopping abruptly can cause chest pain or palpitations. Limit alcohol.
