How it works
Metoprolol Succinate is a selective beta-1 blocker. It blocks adrenaline at the heart so the pulse slows and the heart beats with less force. This lowers blood pressure and eases the heart's oxygen demand.
How to take
Take as prescribed by your doctor, swallowed whole with water, at the same time each day. Do not crush or chew. Never stop the tablet suddenly.

Precautions
Inform the doctor of asthma, heart block, very slow pulse, low BP, diabetes or thyroid trouble. Stopping abruptly can trigger chest pain. Limit alcohol while on this medicine.
