Nulong 10 from Micro Labs is a blood pressure tablet containing Cilnidipine. It belongs to the calcium channel blocker group and is often prescribed for high blood pressure with a gentler effect on heart rate than older medicines.

Cilnidipine relaxes the muscle walls of arteries by blocking calcium entry into them, so blood flows more easily and blood pressure comes down. It also calms certain nerve signals to blood vessels, which helps reduce ankle swelling and a fast heartbeat seen with older drugs in this class.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food, at the same time each day. Swallow the tablet whole with water and do not stop suddenly.

• Dizziness on standing

Tell your doctor if you have liver disease, very low blood pressure, heart problems, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid grapefruit juice and stand up slowly to prevent dizziness.

Keep below 25°C in a dry place, away from sunlight and moisture. Keep the strip in its pack and out of reach of children.
