ARNX 50 10 tab

ARNX 50 from Zydus is a heart-failure tablet combining sacubitril and valsartan. It is prescribed for people whose heart muscle is not pumping as strongly as it should.

• Long-term treatment of chronic heart failure with reduced pumping capacity
• To lower the risk of hospital admissions due to heart failure
• Used in place of an ACE inhibitor or ARB on a doctor's advice

Valsartan relaxes blood vessels so the heart does not have to work as hard. Sacubitril blocks an enzyme called neprilysin, which lets the body keep more of its own natural heart-protective chemicals. Together they reduce strain on the heart and help fluid clear from the body.

Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food, at the same times every day. Swallow whole with water. Do not stop suddenly.

• Low blood pressure, dizziness on standing
• High potassium levels in blood
• Mild kidney function changes
• Dry cough
• Swelling of face, lips or tongue (rare but serious — seek help immediately)

Do not take if you are pregnant — it can harm the unborn baby. Do not start within 36 hours of stopping an ACE inhibitor. Tell your doctor about any kidney, liver problems or history of angioedema. Regular blood pressure, kidney and potassium checks are usually advised.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius in a dry place, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
