Thyrox 25 from Macleods Pharmaceuticals is a low-strength thyroid replacement tablet with Levothyroxine Sodium. It is generally used as a starting dose or for patients who need only a small top-up of thyroid hormone.

Levothyroxine is a synthetic form of the natural thyroid hormone T4. It replaces what the thyroid gland is not making, helping the body keep a steady metabolism, normal heart rate, and good energy.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, on an empty stomach in the morning with plain water. Do not eat or drink anything else for at least half an hour. Try to take it at the same time every day.

Tell the doctor if you have heart trouble, diabetes, or adrenal problems. Do not skip blood tests as the dose may need adjustment. Keep iron, calcium, and antacid tablets a few hours apart from this medicine.
