Levothyroxine is a lab-made form of the natural thyroid hormone T4. Once swallowed, the body converts it to the active hormone T3, which restores normal energy, metabolism, and growth processes.

Take one tablet in the morning on an empty stomach with water, at least 30 minutes before food, as prescribed by your doctor. Stay consistent with timing.

Tell your doctor about heart disease, diabetes, or adrenal problems. Calcium, iron, and antacids can block absorption — separate them by 4 hours. Regular blood tests guide dose changes.
