Cabgolin 0.5 from Sun Pharma is the higher-strength tablet of cabergoline. It is prescribed to help bring high prolactin levels back into range.

• High prolactin levels causing irregular periods or fertility issues
• Stopping unwanted milk production
• Prolactin-secreting pituitary tumours

Cabergoline stimulates dopamine receptors in the brain, which signals the pituitary gland to make less prolactin, easing related symptoms over time.

Take as prescribed by your doctor, ideally with food to reduce nausea. It is usually taken once or twice a week as directed.

• Nausea, especially during the first weeks
• Headache or dizziness
• Tiredness
• Constipation in some people

Discuss heart valve issues, lung or liver disease and pregnancy plans with your doctor. Rise slowly from sitting or lying down. Avoid alcohol while on treatment.
